- Location data: Approximate city or location when you allow location access (for example, to detect your city)
- Contacts: Contact information you choose to share when adding players from your phone contacts
- Communications: Messages you send to our support team and OTP/authentication-related data
2. App Permissions
The CricArena mobile app may request the following permissions to provide its features:
- Notifications: To send match updates, tournament alerts, scoring reminders, and other service-related messages. The app asks for notification permission when you open it. You can change this anytime in your device settings.
- Camera & photos: To take or upload a profile photo
- Location: To detect your city and personalise content
- Contacts: To add players to teams when you choose that feature
- Bluetooth: To connect to compatible LED scoreboards during live scoring
- Internet: Required for app functionality, sync, and notifications
3. Push Notifications & Third-Party Services
We use trusted third-party services to operate the app, including:
- OneSignal — to deliver and manage push notifications. OneSignal may receive your device push token, device type, app version, and notification interaction data.
- Google Firebase — for app infrastructure and notification delivery support on Android.
- Hosting, SMS/OTP, and analytics providers — to authenticate users, operate the platform, and improve reliability.
These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy terms and only as needed to provide the Services. We do not sell your personal information.
4. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain cricket scoring, tournaments, community, and related features
- To verify your identity via OTP, WhatsApp, or other authentication methods
- To send push notifications, service updates, and support responses
- To personalise your experience and display relevant cricket content
- To improve our Services, fix issues, and develop new features
- To protect the security and integrity of our platform

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:
- Service providers who assist in operating our platform (hosting, push notifications, SMS/OTP, analytics)

7. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide Services. You may request deletion of your account and associated data from the app (Profile → Delete Account) or via our Delete Account page. After a deletion request there is a 30-day grace period; if you do not sign in again, the account and personal data are permanently deleted.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

- Object to or restrict certain processing of your data
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
- Turn off push notifications in your device settings at any time
